8 steps to keep you out of hot water...

- Maintain clear, up-to-date and well-written employee handbooks.
- Document employee supervision.
- Establish grievance procedures.
- Circulate written discrimination and sexual harassment policies.
- Establish prudent hiring, performance and termination guidelines.
- Understand and comply with the requirements for ADA and FMLA.
- Establish coverage with Employment Practices Liability Insurance.
- Consult with your insurance advisor to ensure that your business is covered adequately.
